A successful week!

Well this week was sooooo much better! Yesterday at church we had 7 investigators to sacrament meeting! It was a family that we have been working with for quite a while and they finally came to church. They have 7 kids, all under the age of 15.... haha they are nuts. But they are super reverent in church, its crazy, but they loved church a lot. So hopefully this next month we will have 7 Baptisms!
We also had a great week for finding. Found 6 new investigators, most of them were pretty solid and Im looking forward to seeing them progress. We have been using basketball as a way to find people haha. In Georgetown they have a couple nice outdoor courts in a park. We drive by there and if there are people playing we go and play with them in our church clothes and then we talk to them about coming to the church to play basketball. It's working pretty good haha and its fun.
Transfers are coming up this next Tuesday, but Im not going to be leaving here yet. Elder Prows is probably going to leave. He's been here for a while and I think he just needs a change.
Oh and today we are getting our new car! Idk what kind it is but Im excited. I don't really like our chevy Malibu. Its too long and heavy.
Well, other than that, not too much else happened! The ward here is amazing and I love it. The work here is starting to progress and Im really excited. I know now, more than ever, that Heavenly Father is really truly mindful of all of us and he loves us. This church is so true and I love it!

Difficult and slow

Well these past two weeks have been pretty slow here! Litterally every appointment we had scheduled was cancelled. I was getting so sick of people cancelling. So we ended up doing a lot of tracting and we found a few new people. I'm just praying that this next week people keep their appointments.
We do have one investigator right now that looks pretty promising. Haven't met with her lately because she has been sick but is way cool. She was interested in a modern day Prophet and I think she likes how nice we are to her haha. So hopefully she will continue to progress.
So today is the day that I will finally be able to go to the Louisville slugger Museum!!!! I am so stoked. I'll be sure to send lots of pictures and I am definitely getting a baseball bat.
Like I said it's been pretty slow here ever since I got here. Kinda hard not to get a little discouraged but Im pushing through it. The good will come. Just working on being as obedient as I can so I can rely on the Lord to bless this area. The people are really nice here. Tracting here is a lot better than in evansvile. We live like 3 miles outside of our area so we cant just walk out of our apartment and start working. We either have to bike or drive into our area. Our bishop is trying to move us up to Georgetown so we can work that area a lot more.
We just got done playing basketball and we are gonna go to our apartment in a bit to change and go to the sluggers museum! Its gonna be awesome. Its also Elder Prows birthday today so we are going to a members house tonight to eat. Its gonna be fun.
I hope everyone knows how lucky we are to be members of this church. People out in the world really need it. And we have it already and I am so grateful for that. I know this church is true!

Knock one more door

IMoonshine here is about as common as potatoes in Idaho haha just had to start out with that! So many people drink it here, its nuts. They say its like candy to their stomach haha. Anyways, this past week was pretty good. I got sick and slept all day on Friday, which felt way weird. I haven't had a day on my mission that I haven't done anything all day. Also this week we basically cleaned out our teaching pool and started all over. Almost all the people we were teaching were just lying to us and leading us on. No real intent. But that's ok, we did a lot of finding and were able to find 4 new investigators this week. And we will definitely find more this coming week. We also went tracting this week haha I haven't tracted for a while. I actually don't mind doing it. We usually have great stories from tracting. And so I have a story from this week haha. We decided to knock doors for an hour, and after getting all the way around the block and almost back to our car we knocked on the last house on the street that was next to our car. We knocked and.... no one answered. So we started to walk to our car to go to the next appointment, but the thought came to mind "Knock one more door". So I looked up and saw another house across the street and decided to knock on the door. We did, and talked with a man that came to the door. Talked with him for a while and he agreed to let us come back so we could talk to his wife. I was so stoked and happy that I recognized and listened to the quiet prompting of the spirit. We are going to be seeing them tonight at 6. So, from now on when we are done tracting I'm going to always knock one more door.
Well, not much else to say. This area is great. New Albany is an awesome town. I love you all. This church is true!
