A swollen ankle, appreciation of the plan of salvation, a baptism before baby comes!

Hello!!
So this last week was good and also not so good haha
First to start off, Elder Jensen rolled his ankle during our zone conference and it swelled up super bad and we had to get an xray on it. It wasnt broken but we had to sit inside for 2 days while he iced it and rested it. So that was great haha sitting inside sucks.

And then to top it all off I received another phone call during the week from Elder Kaegi, one of my previous companions, and he informed me that another one of my recent converts had died. S J, the 13 year old that we baptized... He was in the bathroom of his middle school and a group of boys beat him up so bad that he was unconscious, and when they took him to the hospital they had the Elders come over and give him a blessing and when they finished he passed away. I feel so bad for his family. We also baptized his 14 year old brother. The funeral is tomorrow morning at 10 but I wont be attending. I didnt ask President if I could go I just felt like I should stay here. But this has made me continue to appreciate the plan of salvation so much. The reunion in Heaven with the people I have been able to teach and baptize will be so great. This is why I love my mission. I love being able to know that heavenly Father trusted me enough to teach his children and bring them into his true church.

L and her daughter A are still set for being Baptized in a week and a half! We taught them the word of wisdom yesterday and L was like, "I dont have a problem with anything on here so Im good " haha she is so great. We are just praying that she doesnt have her baby before the baptism. Shes about 8 months pregnant and she supossed to have the baby early. So please pray that everything goes smooth up to the baptism.

Love you all!!

Family Skype and Baptisms!

Whats up everybody??
Just roastin my buns off here in New Albany, it is smokin hot today. The humidity makes it soooo hot! Started the P-Day off by going to a Louisville bats game over in Louisville with a member. It was super fun. We got dang good seats right behind 1st base dug out. We got on the big screen in the first inning haha it was pretty sweet! The game was fun to watch, made we want to play baseball so bad.

Got to skype the fam on sunday, that was super great.

Our 2 baptisms went great this weekend. Michele and Emma were baptized on friday and then confirmed on sunday. They are going to be great members of this ward! We also had an investigator come to both of the bptisms. Her name is Leiloni and she is SO elect. She is totally getting baptized. In one night she read the intro and testimonies of the Book of Mormon and all the way up to Jacob. And during the testimony service of the baptisms she got up and bore her testimony! People were asking her if she was a member. She also has a daughter that is 11 and she wants to listen to the lessons and come to church. Super excited to teach them!

I love you all! Have a great week!

Church Hill Downs last week and Baptisms this week

Happy P-Day everyone!
So last P-day we went to church hill downs and it was awesome. That place is HUGE! We did the tour and went to the museum. It's nuts that over 160,000 people attend the race. I want to go so bad one day. It's expensive though. Its like 300 for a regular seat and 4,000 to sit on millionaire row with all the celebrities haha nuts. Also saw "mine that bird" its the horse that won in 2009 and he had the worst odds. Such a huge horse.
Everything here is going great. Michele and Emma will be getting Baptized this friday. Michele asked me to baptize her so Im pretty excited! Both have been golden investigators and they have amazing fellowshipers. I'm super super excited for them!!
It's also starting to get super hot here. I have not missed the heat AT ALL. The humidity is starting to pick up and walking around its crappy haha but it makes it fun. Luckily we have a car and I am super grateful for that!
Well, I cant really think of anything else that happened haha. It was a pretty good week! Interviews with President Woodbury was great. i might be district leader next transfer...haha We will see. I am super stoked for mothers day to skype home!!
I love you all so much!!
