First week in New Albany

Hello everyone!
Well I am now in New Albany Indiana. We are right across the river from Louisville. Its awesome! I am in a car area and its pretty big haha. The town here is awesome. I like it a lot better than evansville. My companion is Elder Prows, hes been out like 3 months. Our apartment is a lot bigger so that is nice. And the church is like a 5 min walk from our place.
The ward here is amazing! Our ward mission leader is awesome and they all help us out so much. We have a ward missionary who is assigned to find us dinners for the week! Its so nice to have that. She calls around and gets us dinners with members. The ward here is so focused on missionary work and retaining members.
The investigators we have now are pretty good. We have a family of 8 kids that we are teaching, but its gonna take some time with them. The parents arent married and the Dad is kinda wild and drinks alot but he reads the BoM a lot too. We could get 7 Baptisms with this family, it would be a miracle. We also need to do a lot of finding this coming week. Most of the investigators are good but they aren't too serious right now.
Oh so yeah, having a car is the bomb. We still ride bikes but having a car to drive to far away appointments is amazing. We have a Chevy Malibu. Its pretty nice, I like it. Its almost to 50,000 miles so they are going to get a new car soon. saweet. Before I got here though, the previous Elder merged into another car and dented up the car kinda bad. So the church had to spend $2500 to fix it! That sucks, but now it has a new paint job on the whole side.
Well not much else to say right now haha.
Probably gonna go to the Slugger museum in the coming weeks so that will be awesome!
Love you all so much!

A transfer to... New Albany

Hello everyone! Well Im still in Indiana! But Im in an awesome place! I am in New Albany Indiana. My new companion is Elder Prows, he is from Bountiful UT and he has been out 3 months haha I am follow up training him. And we have a car! But sad to say, its in the body shop until next week cuz the last Elder wrecked it... so we are riding around on bikes haha. Our apartment is sooooo much better than my last one! Its huge! It has a big living room and big kitchen and it has 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a bunch of work out stuff, which is going to be awesome haha. This area is going to be awesome. It has had a lot of success and that is going to continue. This town just seem awesome already. Just on our bike ride over here we talked to a bunch of people and they were really nice. And its not as crazy and hectic like Evansville. It still is busy with a bunch of people in it but it seems nicer.
So, Im hoping the car gets fixed soon so I can drive it cuz Im the senior companion and I get to drive haha I hope I remember how. Its been almost 6 months. Oh our address is 2741 charlestown road #41, New Albany Indiana, 47150.
I was up until like midnight last night packing and making sure I packed everything. My bags were super heavy and super stuffed. We had to be up and ready at 530 and then we went to the church and rode with Sis Robinson to Louisville for the transfer meeting. So I pretty tired right now haha but we have a few appointments tonight so I gotta stay awake for now. Looking forward to sleeping tonight.
I love you all so much and look forward to getting letters from you and emails.

A baptism on the horizon

Howdy everyone!
Well this week was icy and now its super snowy! On like tuesday it was freezing rain and it got cold through the night and everything just froze up. Everything loked super cool the next day. Trees were just covered in ice and the power lines were drooping. It was awesome. Then last night it started dumping snow. We went into a lesson at like 4 and we came outside after we were done and everything was covered in snow and it was dumping. I was super happy.
So a lot of awesome things are starting to happen in this area. We have another baptism coming up on the 23rd. There is a less active couple in our ward that we started working with and they have 2 boys (14) and (12) and they havent been baptised yet and so we started teaching them the lessons and they agreed to be baptized on the 23rd of this month. Super happy about that.
Yesterday at church was super awesome. Gabriel recieved the preisthood the previous sunday and yesterday he blessed the sacrament! And he did great! He missed one word the first time and had to re-do it but he got it the second time. I was so proud of him haha. This might sound dorky but seeing him up there I think is similar to a father seeing his son bless the sacrament for the first time. It was so cool to see him do that. At the beginning of November he had no clue about the True Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And now, 4 months later, he has the Priesthood authority of God and blessed the sacrament. How could there be anything better? And then after church we took him to an appintment we had and he was AWESOME. He brought the spirit in very strong. We talked about the temple and also the purpose of the Book of Mormon and he explained it perfectly. I was blown away. I swear hes gonna be a bishop in like 2 years.
Transfers are coming up next tuesday! The 15th. And I'm thinking Im getting transferred this time but you never know what the Lord has in store for you. So when that day gets closer start sending any letters to the mission office or just wait for my new address. I was recommended to train haha... so we will see what happens! I love you all! Write me back!

Testimony of obedience

Hey everyone!
Well this week was a little tough and slow but it was ok. The week after a Baptism is usually kinda slower. We do have another great family that we are teaching and I know they will be Baptized. Their parents are Less active but they have 2 boys that are 11 and 13 who haven't been Baptized yet. But things are going great with them. We are having FHE with them and another family, that is in our ward, tonight! The weather here has been back and forth. Warm one day and cold the next. Now its starting to snow again so I was happy about that haha.
Steve and Colleen were confirmed yesterday and it was awesome. They are super happy and are doing great. They were super excited to get the Holy Ghost. For those of us that have been members our whole lives, I don't think we appreciate that gift as much as we should. It is amazing. Pray constantly that you have it with you at all times and live worthy for it.
Not much else happened this week. Just a piece of advice that I will give to those who are serving missions and who will serve missions. BE OBEDIENT. It is tough to do and sometimes you feel like a robot following commands but it will truly set you free. You need to be Obedient down to the very littlest of things. A missionary companionship that is exactly Obedient is a very powerful instrument in the hands of the Lord. I have a very solid testimony of that and I hope all of you will gain one too. Satan wants to slow down this work. And he will start at the smallest of things to slow down your personal missionary work. Shun away the smallest disobedience, and keep your eye single to the glory of God.
