Alright so Im just gonna go right into some awesome stories!
So, we got new neighbors this last week. They moved into the apartment right next to ours. We came home on Saturday night at like 7 for dinner and they (Brittany and Aaron) were sitting outside smoking. So we went up to them to meet them. They were super nice and they asked all about what we do as missionaries. And then they invited us inside to see their new 4 months old baby. Long story short, they asked about where our church is and about directions and also what time it started. THEY CAME TO CHRUCH THE NEXT MORNING!:D It was awesome. They loved it and felt very welcomed and had a great time. We were at their place last night getting to know them more and we are going there this week for dinner and a lesson!
Next story, we felt prompted to go walk around an apartment complex just up the hill behind our building. So we did. That's when we found Shannon. She is 23 and has 2 kids and lives by herself. Talked to her for like 15 mins outside and she said we could come back the next day. So we did, had a good restoration lesson and set a baptismal date for Feb. 24th! And she reminds us exactly of Donielle (our recent convert) AND they know each other! And she lives like less than a half mile up the road!
Next story, we were looking through our area book at the potential investigators list. Its just a list of people that missionaries have met in the past and have said that they can come back. So we prayerfully chose 3 to go and try. The first 2 we couldn't find. And the last one was awesome. Her name is Kristen and he husband is Jake. Live in a nice house and have a new baby, pretty nice and normal family! She invited us right in when we got there and we were there for an hour just talking about their life and such. Kristen's best friend is a member of the church and she has been to church before in Utah. And all she has to say about the church is good things. She loves the people the church buildings, how its run and organized and just on and on and on. She knows about conference and she follows the Mormon blog. She has a Book of Mormon. Its awesome. Honestly don't know why they aren't Mormons yet. They grew up in churches but they don't go anymore. Said they are looking for one. They invited us back for dinner this week too!
Things are just getting better here now. Trying to keep moving forward and to not slacken at all. Sometimes that's our downfall. We go through hard times and it drives us to work harder but as soon as a little bit of success comes we slacken off. I don't know why that happens but it does. So, we are trying to work just as hard and harder than the previous day.
Love y'all so much!
Oh and P.S Donielle is going to the temple this weekend for baptisms for the dead! We are so excited for her!
