Hello family! I am alive and well and mostly warm!
What a wild wild week this past week has been. Let me just start by saying that I got to shake an apostles hand for the first time. Yes, shook Elder Christoffersons hand. It was awesome. Such and amazing 2 hours that we got to spend with him. What an amazing spirit he brings. He's also quite funny and comical too. One missionary asked a Question to him, "what do we do when people want to Bible bash?" And he answered, " Well, you take your Bible like this"(as he raises it over his shoulder like he's ready to throw it) Everyone started to laugh, it was so funny. There is nothing else like hearing the testimony of a special witness of Jesus Christ in person. Holy Cow, its... indescribable.
I have missed the snow. When we got out, we searched and searched for snow shovels at almost every store possible and no one carried snow shovels. They are basically non-existent here. Eventually a member found 2 really nice ones at a towing company and he bough them and brought them up to us and we went to work with them. We've cleared so far almost 10 driveways. And we will be clearing a couple more today. People wanted to pay us but we wouldn't accept it. One old lady tried to give us $60 for clearing one lane in her driveway but we didn't take it. It has been so fun. Our car is the worst for driving in snow. Its low and heavy but we've made it around. Roads are clear now. But now there is an ice storm coming tomorrow that may dump 3-5 inches of rain and then freeze it. It might be pretty bad. Probably wont have church again is my guess. Bummer. But we'll be alright!
Real quick, we found a family to teach. A whole family. A mom and Dad and 3 kids. The dad is an inactive member and the rest of his family are non-members and they just moved into our area and we found them sitting in their truck the other day. and they are awesome. She loves the Book of Mormon and we are going to have a full restoration lesson with them tonight and we are going to invite him to prepare to be worthy to be able to baptize his wife and kids!! What a miracle this will be.
Anyways, wish I could write more but we need to go. Gotta go clear some more driveways and teach.
Love you all so so much!!
P.S- one picture is of me sitting by the oven. Our heat isn't working very well so we wanted to warm up our feet haha. Its is the negatives right now!
